POKER RUN
On July 17, 2021, the United Iron Workers MC Chapter 25 will be sponsoring an OPEN TO THE PUBLIC Poker Run that ends at the Fenton Eagles. Registration opens at 10 am with the first bikes out at 12 noon from the Olde Hickory Bar on 7071 Bennett Lake Rd, Fenton MI 48430. $15 for rider and $10 passenger entry fee. Procedes will be presented to The Fallen and Wounded Soldiers Fund.
This is Fenton's second time to host the end of the run. In 2019 the MC Club had a pig
roaster set up out back and all had a good time. David Brandly "DJ", the Chapter President
stated they plan to have a roasted pig again but will roast it off site due to time.
UPDATE: The Poker Run was another amazing time. We had 50+ bikes and riders that ended here at our Aerie.
ANNUAL PICNIC AT THE FENTON VFW
On July 25, the Aerie will be closed and we will host our annual picnic again. It will run 12-6 pm and there will be 50/50 drawings along with door prizes to be announced. We will have hot dogs and sloppy joes. Side dishes provided by members that have signed up at the bar to coordinate a variety of foods and desserts. Beer will be provided on tap by the Trustees as usual. We request participation of our members to help take down tents, tables and chairs to move everything back to the Aerie as well as grounds cleanup.
JULY 29 UPDATE: The picnic went off well considering we had to put the tents back up after Saturday night's big rainstorm. Euchre, horseshoes had plenty of players. Kids had fun with cornhole and the pinata. There was 50/50 drawings and 3 drawings for door prizes for Aerie members. 1st was a large flat panel tv.
As far as cleanup at the end - it was very disappointing. Most everyone bailed and it came down to the same handfull to get it done. When I was picking up trash, some of the kids quit playing and came to help. They were wonderful. After multiple pu loads back to the Aerie, I still had to take 3 loads in my car. The last on Monday morning of 4 bags of trash that were left behind. People, this is your picnic. Please do your part.
